“ Went for lunch after a long trip back to Charlotte for work. I dined in solo. Food, service and atmosphere were good. The music was really nice. Not too loud and helped to set the tone. I had the spicy Egusi soup with foo foo, extra rice and teriyaki wings. My food was good and a good portion. I had enough to take home to eat later. The bar was popular. I couldnt try the bar today but, I plan to return to try it and other dishes again. ”
“ My Nigerian friend Troy Pelshak and I wanted to hang out over dinner ... just us. So I asked him where would you go to have the most authentic African Nigerian food. He immediately reserved the table at LAGZ. You dont have to at 6 pm when we went ... but you should for 9pm. Troy ordered everything and ... being a German ... I cant say how authentic it is because I was never in Africa. All I can say is... I am going back. It was absolutely delicious and the blend of spices, meat, rice, veggies etc ... unbelievable ... most delicious!! YES ... I will go back ”
“ Ate here a couple times and it never missed! The music and light settings really sets an ambiance and the portions are good and you will definitely have leftovers. The menu is also very diverse so theres a lot to choose from. ”
“ I tried their signature steak, cooked mediumrare, and it was absolutely delicious! Perfectly juicy, tender inside, with a beautifully seared crust. The steak was served with a side of flavorful brown rice, boiled cabbage, and carrots, along with fresh tomato, cucumber, and onion. The combination was simple yet wellbalanced, complementing the steak perfectly. On Monday evening, the restaurant was fairly quiet, but the food was excellent, and the bartender was incredibly friendly. A great spot worth visiting! ”
“ The food is always succulent. I absolutely love their Egusi Soup and Fufu. The hospitality is always warm and welcoming. I had the opportunity to meet the owner Mr. Oloyede, he was very kind a true gentle man. If you love Nigerian Cuisine then this is the perfect place for a sexy date night or girls night out. ”
“ The restaurant has a very nice ambiance. The hostwaitress were very nice and friendly.I was given a complimentary dish . They were little dough balls called puff puffs, that tasted like funnel cakes. She helped me choose a few dishes to try. These dishes did not disappoint. I had the African pepper sauce salmon with jollof rice and plantains. The salmon and spices were perfect together. I also tried the what soup with beef and fufu. The beef was very tender the takeout was great. I highly recommend this restaurant. ”
